Managing Organizational Change

Presenter:  Dr. Felicia Bridgewater

Many of us face constant change within our organizations.  While we accept it as part of doing business, we do not always embrace it nor do we actively seek to facilitate the change.

The concept of change management is so critical that the Northeast Florida chapter of ASTD identifies it as one of our core competencies.  As such, we bring to you an engaging, relevant topic to address the basics of change management.

Join us if you are:
  • A supervisor or manager who struggles to stay ahead when skill requirements are ever-changing and evolving.
  • A leader challenged to improve efficiency or service quality in order to survive economic conditions
  • A professional wanting to be a facilitator of change, not just a passive observer.
  • A trainer who is called upon to actively support changes within the organization.
During this session you will discover how to:
  • Identify and describe the role of a facilitator of change
  • Implement a change process using a three-step change model
  • Apply tools and techniques to support a change intervention
  • Identify reactions to change
  • Assist employees as they overcome resistance to change and increase commitment
