  Your Role as a Training PM: Is it Project Management or Pain Management?

This presentation will provide you with brief overviews on the origins, similarities and differences of several project management frameworks, including the Project Management Body of Knowledge, and Training’s ADDIE and SAM models.

This interactive session will help you decide when and what proactive solutions may be right for your project and client pains during different phases of your training projects.

You will leave this meeting with tips, tools and techniques designed to reduce the complexity of your engagements, while maximizing your profitability, increasing your customer’s satisfaction and the value of the learning experience you deliver.    

ASTD Competency Model:

John Watson, PMP PMI-ACP, CSM, is a Senior Consultant at GR8PM, Inc. (pronounced “Great PM”) and has a diverse management and leadership background with experience in Sales, Operations, Project and Program Management from his previous life with BellSouth and AT&T. 

     

John is a freelancing Project Manager/Change Agent and currently enjoying his encore career as a Senior Consultant for GR8PM providing leadership and professional development training and consulting services focused on helping individuals and organizations realize their maximum potentials.

John is an active volunteer for the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Past President and Director Emeritus for the Northeast Florida Chapter.  He served as the 2011-2013 Regional Mentor supporting the twenty- four PMI chapters in the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean as their liaison to PMIs Global Operations Center.  John is an alumnus of PMI’s 2010 Leadership Institute Masters Class (LIMC).
