Program Overview:

Please join us for the August 2014 CMSIG Program!
This meeting will explore creative and fun ways to engage participants in meetings and training sessions. Join us as we discuss how we get our participants involved and engaged in the learning experience from the start!



Participants will discover:

  • Icebreakers and energizers that help get the group warmed up
  • Creative ways to involve participants in the learning process
  • New tips, techniques, and best practices to take back to the workplace

This month's program supports the ASTD Foundational Competencies of "Training Delivery" and "Managing Learning Programs."


Featured Presenter: Laura Steigelman,                  President — Steigelman & Associates

Laura Steigelman is a professional facilitator, instructor, management consultant and career coach with over 20 years of experience in consulting, facilitation, and training. After being an integral part of management teams at AT&T American Transtech and Johnson and Johnson’s Vistakon Division, Laura started her own company in 1994.
Laura has a strong background in customer service and call center environments. She works with employees of all levels from small to large organizations, for profit and not-for-profit. Laura’s many strengths include the development and facilitation of leadership and employee-training workshops, meeting facilitation, re-design of work processes, team building, DiSC workshops, new hire orientations, and consulting on business and employee work processes.
Laura previously served on the Jacksonville ATD Board and has been an active member of various chapter committees.


ASTD Competency Model:

The model emphasizes: (1) foundational competencies or those that are important to everyone in the field and (2) the specific Areas of Expertise (AOEs), which are the specialized knowledge and actions required by specific roles.

No cost, but you must be a member of ASTD NEFL chapter to attend. Guests are $5.00.
