It’s exhilarating and addictive. It’s immersive and social. Think Web 2.0 in 3D. Facebook meets the Matrix. Learn why virtual worlds like Second Life are all the rage in the learning community and why IBM is investing millions of dollars in 25 islands in Second Life to reinvent learning. Companies like Sun, Dell, BP and Intel are not far behind in moving their training to this “metaverse.” More than 1200 educational islands were created in Second Life in 2007 alone. This year, companies are going from creating virtual campuses to creating unique learning experiences.  If you believe the latest Gartner research, 80% of active Internet users will be in non-gaming virtual worlds by the end of 2011.

March eSig.jpgAnders Gronstedt, Ph.D.(anders@gronstedtgroup.com), aka Anders Wildcat in Second Life, is president of the Gronstedt Group, which helps companies improve work place performance in both first and Second Life. He helps companies like Dell, Jamba Juice, Volvo Cars, Ericsson, ADT, and FedEx improve sales and work place performance with custom-developed virtual worlds, podcasting, simulations, and other Web 2.0 powered learning approaches. He is the author of the recent Harvard Business Review, Infoline and T+D Magazine articles on the topic. He hosts a weekly learning event at the “Train for Success” in Second Life every Thursday, from noon to 1:00 PM EDT.

Important: In the event that you register and then are unable to participate, please cancel by March 7th to provide space for another participant to attend.

Join us electronically for an interesting and informative start to your day!
