Presenting with Confidence to 1 or 100

This interactive training hour is packed with lots of tips and techniques to help you prepare and present engaging content to any audience with ease and confidence.

 

What You Will Learn

You’ll learn how to tailor content to appeal to various audiences, to structure the flow of information, and create effective slide decks and notes. You’ll also learn how to utilize different questioning techniques to engage your audience, deal with disruptions, and much, much more. Upon completion of the course you’ll be able to:

  • Assess the needs and expectations of any audience
  • Prepare and organize engaging content and information
  • Apply facilitative presentation methods
  • Manage challenging situations and behaviors

And that’s not all. As an added bonus, attendees can sign up to receive the following tip sheets via email!

  1. Organizing the flow of information
  2. Establishing meeting ground rules

 What is included?

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is open from 9am-5pm. The price of the meeting includes lunch and admission to the Zoo if you want to go early or stay late!

SPEAKER BIO

Thomas Speer - Director of Organizational Development for One Call Care Management

Tom has over 20 years of experience in learning and development, starting out as a water survival and rescue swimmer instructor in the Navy, and later, managing the employee training function for companies like CSX Transportation and Kemper Insurance. He is currently serving as the Director of Organizational Development for One Call Care Management. Over the years, he has designed and delivered a broad range of instructor led and virtual training programs on leadership, management, and employee professional development.

Tom earned Master’s Degrees in Business Management and Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocational Education and Curriculum Development from Southern Illinois University. He holds training certifications with companies like DDI and DecisionWise, and has served as ATD Northeast Florida’s Chapter President in 2015 and as VP of Programs in 2012-2013.
