Interest Group (eSIG)

              “Traditional” eLearning Design -
The Case of the ADDIE Model’s Murder

Information about the event:
How can we build our eLearning lessons so people want to learn
it, will retain it, and apply it?  How can we meet the demands of
the business for effectiveness, value, and fast timelines?  Join us
in July’s eSIG for the many ideas and answers to your eLearning
design and development needs.

Be a part of our investigative team as we track down ADDIE-the-
model’s murderer! Through a fun scenario starring some of our own
eSIG committee and chapter members, we will explore alternative
design methods for eLearning, and determine which one delivers
the death blow to ADDIE. By interviewing SAM, the villain “ASAP,”
and others, and using clues left behind by ADDIE herself, our
team will try to deduce if ADDIE is dead, and if so, “who done it?”
Our game will help to explain popular new design methods for a
fast-paced world, and will include tips and ideas for creating highly
effective eLearning for performance impact that includes:
• Collaboration
• Interaction
• Social learning

ASTD Competency Model:
