After leaders understand their personal style and master their job competencies, they must assess and leverage their business realities. More than 75% of CEOs are concerned with the shortage of critical thinking, mental agility, and strategic insights. If we keep doing what we have always done, we will get what we have always gotten, and that is not enough. This session presents a groundbreaking situational framework using 6 results oriented lenses that enable leaders to make the right call at the right time for the right results. During this session, participants complete a self-assessment, apply 6 situational mindsets, and use scenarios to experience how situational awareness prepares us for what is next. Filling this gap in leadership development is a critical new imperative.

A connected work culture promotes communication, ownership, action, and loyalty. However, even with the best-laid plans, disconnect happens. Misunderstandings occur. Drama ensues. Time is wasted. Confusion takes over. Relationships suffer.

The good news--there is another way! In this workshop, you will learn and apply the Deflate, Relate, Elevate formula to situations that have gone sideways. You will experience the opportunity for greater engagement, cohesion, and peace these disconnects provide when you Deflate, Relate, and Elevate.

    What You Can Expect:

    • Learn how to deflate a negative situation by practicing curious listening through our Story Session activity.
    • Practice techniques to respond empathetically. You’ll learn how to embrace tough conversations and take the pressure off being the problem solver.
    • Experiencing a practical way to shift your mindset to take away the tension of conflict and misunderstandings
    • An opportunity to implement the formula with your peers using a real-life scenario.

    If you want:

    • Stronger, effective, and powerful communication with your team and colleagues...
    • Less drama and more ownership…
    • A proven way to take misunderstandings, miscommunications, and misfires and turn them into opportunities for stronger and powerful relationships...we’ll see you at the Deflate, Relate, and Elevate workshop in October!

    About the Speaker

Erin O’Malley helps people thrive through the power of human connection. She speaks to business leaders, from the front-line to the C-Suite, teaching them to redefine perceived problems with leadership, engagement, and loyalty, and focus on the real issue: connection.

While she currently calls Jacksonville, Florida home – Erin identifies as a Jersey Girl, with all the stamina to rock ten years in hospitality leadership; the strength to survive two years in the Peace Corps in Panama; the savvy to consult for the past 8 years with industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to automotive; and the smarts to get OUT of Jersey and see the world.

When Erin is not enthusiastically connecting with her audiences, she prefers to be at the beach, spending time with her husband Mike and their dog, who is named, unlike so many dogs… Steve.

Only One Thing Stands Between You and Success. It Isn’t Experience. It Isn’t Talent.

If you want to succeed, you must learn how to connect with people. And while it may seem like some people are just born with it, the fact is anyone can learn how to make every communication an opportunity for a powerful connection.

Learn how to identify with people and relate to others in a way that increases your influence with them. To be a successful leader, you need to learn to communicate in a way that connects with others.

Geoff Zimmerman spent over 25 years in the financial services industry, doing everything from taking inbound sales calls, to technical support, to project management, to learning & development. While this may seem like an odd combination of roles, there is a common thread. Geoff specializes in uncovering the hidden drivers behind the stated need to ensure that whatever resolution is brought to the table has the best chance of achieving the desired outcome.

Originally from Indiana, Geoff made his way across the upper portion of the country, living in Ohio and New Hampshire before getting wise and moving to Florida where Mother Nature has much less to say about when you need to stay indoors.  He resides in St. Augustine with his wife of 28 years, and has 3 grown children and one grandson.

Geoff is also a certified member of The John Maxwell Team, providing coaching, training, and public speaking based on content from the #1 leadership authority, Dr. John C. Maxwell.
