911: eSig to the Rescue!

Workshop Description and Intended Audience
These are common stories – you’ve heard them before…….

Alfred is really good at his job, so they make him a trainer.  Alfred embraces the challenge, attends ASTD to develop his skills, and is now in the groove.  Then the phone rings.  Alfred’s company wants to cut its training travel budget and standardize the training process – they want to launch an e-learning initiative.  Since Alfred is the best trainer, he will be in charge of developing the first course.

Paulette, a superstar in her company’s training department gets a call from the sales manager.  Sales are down.  The sales team is not closing deals.  They need training.  The sales manager wants the training delivered via e-learning.

Can you see yourself in Alfred or Paulette’s shoes?  What do you do?  Where do you go?  911 – eSIG to the rescue!

Please join us May 10th for an interactive eSIG workshop where we solve problems, real problems...maybe even your problem.   When you leave eSIG, you will have a model, developed collaboratively with your peers, you can use on your next e-learning project.

During this workshop, you will work from a real time case study to:

  • Evaluate the training need(s)
  • Write meaningful objectives
  • Scope out an e-learning training solution
  • Compare the e-learning solution to an instructor-led training (ILT) solution
  • Plan meaningful learning activities
  • Establish proper evaluation metrics
  • Identify tools and techniques that can be used in the development process
  • Solve the problem!

Open response survey question that is part of registration:

Would you like for us to use your “problem” or challenge as the case study for this eSIG workshop?  We’d like to hear from you!  Please tell us about your training challenge.
Email
elearning@astdnefl.org with details if you’d like us to use your problem or challenge as the case study for this eSIG workshop.

Provide us with a phone number to contact you in the event your case study is chosen and we need to discuss it. If your case study is selected, you will receive a copy of the book, “E-Learning Uncovered: From Concept to Execution” by Desiree Ward and Diane Elkins.
