Tips, Tricks, and Best Practices in E-Learning

Are you just beginning to develop e-learning courses and find yourself saying, “There must be a better way of doing this,” or, “What can I do to make this development process quicker?” Are you someone who has developed a few courses and have perfected a technique that saves time, makes the job easier, or that is simply innovative? Then this program is for you! Please join us at July’s eSIG where we share peer-to-peer tips, tricks, and best practices in e-learning.

This event will feature table topics that represent each part of the development process: Planning, Instructional Design, Development, Quality Assurance, Deployment/Marketing/Evaluation. Each table will be “hosted” by e-learning practitioners that have excellent ideas to share and are hoping to add more tools to their toolboxes, too! During the event, attendees will rotate tables at set intervals, visiting those areas that are of most interest to them. At each table, attendees can:

  1. Discuss best practices in the e-learning design and development life cycle
  2. Get introduced to tools and techniques that will improve the development process
  3. Network with peers

ASTD Competency Model:

The Areas of Expertise, as defined by the ASTD Competency Model, include nine critical factors needed to be a successful workplace learning professional. This month’s eSIG event supports “Designing Learning, Managing the Learning Function, and Measuring and Evaluating.”

For discussion at this program we welcome your ideas, tools, job-aids, and techniques, big and small! Please reflect on your e-learning development process and answer the survey questions you will find on the registration form.

Please join us for networking, coffee and bagels, and an informative start to your day.
