Network for Success! Leveraging Social Capital

Presenter: Lynne Coggin

Event Description:

The strength of your relationships, networks and sphere of influence has a profound effect on your success. Participants at this event will discover key elements for creating a strategy to develop a strong network.

In the past, ASTD has hosted events to guide you through the “how to” of networking. In contrast, Lynne Coggin’s presentation focuses on the “why” of networking and the importance of building strategic relationships. Lynne will help us develop an action plan of how to leverage our social capital. Social capital as defined by Dr. Ivan Misner, known as the Father of Networking,” is “the accumulation of resources developed in the course of social interactions, especially through personal and professional networks.”

Attend this event if you are a workplace learning professional who:
  • Seeks to improve yourself and expand your resources.
  • Interacts with others who are potential resources.
  • Desires an action plan to build a strong network.
  • Wants to capitalize on your contacts for the benefit of your professional growth and development.
Join us for an engaging session at our newest location, Maggiano’s at The Town Center on April 21.
