Presented by: GinaMaria Jerome

Did you know that most participants forget over half of what they learn in training? Training can make a significant impact, but unless it is reinforced, retention diminishes dramatically – and so does productivity. That’s why coaching is invaluable to the learning process.

Coaching, when blended with training, more fully integrates competencies and promotes ongoing learning and performance improvement. When online coaching is blended with training, the learner has an even more robust environment from which to retain and apply the training objectives.

Online coaching programs combine strategy, goal setting, progress checks, and desired outcomes with an on-demand system and 24/7 access. These online programs are supported by interactive workbooks and can be augmented with monthly coaching sessions conducted virtually, over the phone, or in person depending on the learner’s preference. Plus, online coaching programs are versatile enough to be implemented as an add-on to training courses or they can be designed as standalone systems.

At our November meeting we’ll:

  • Assess the coach approach
  • Discover ways to apply training objectives using a coach approach
  • Discuss how online coaching programs support ongoing learning
  • Determine how standalone coaching programs add value to learning programs
