Emotional Intelligence: How Alert Drivers (and Organizations!) Can Avoid A Crash

What does the signage on I-95 and J. Turner Butler Blvd. have to do with ATD members? Just as an alert driver can avoid a crash by being aware, taking in signals from other drivers, and backing off rather than responding aggressively, leaders need to do the same. Emotional intelligence encompasses being self-aware, managing your emotions, recognizing other’s emotions and avoiding a crash! Organizations are stronger, more productive, and have higher performance when leaders and teams are emotionally intelligent. Come join us for some fun exercises you can take right back to work.

Jan Lipsky excels in developing exceptional leadership teams, identifying and accelerating the development of talent for promotional opportunities and succession planning. She has been a sounding board for CEOs and an advisor to top executives on change management, communication and team development/team building.
