About Speaker:

LaPora Lindsey has been a military spouse for 14 years. In 2008, LaPora was introduced to a devastating career challenge--unemployment. Her experience inspired her to learn more about career development. Through volunteering and exploration, LaPora officially started her journey in career services, receiving several certifications along the way, including becoming a Certified Professional Resume Writer and Certified Workforce Development Professional.

Now, after six PCS moves and as a self-proclaimed professional job seeker, LaPora continues to educate others on how to address employment obstacles. In September 2022, LaPora published her first self-help book, “Bottom of the Food Chain,” highlighting the power that exists in careers even when you are not in a higher-ranking role. Through training, writing, and coaching LaPora’s focus is to impact lives by inspiring and educating on the truth that everyone has value regardless of the rejection faced.
