LMS Selection to Administration Life Cycle

Workshop Description and Intended Audience

Are you involved in an LMS (Learning Management System) selection, installation and configuration project? Or maybe you will be the end user of the LMS. For anyone using or considering an LMS, the August eSIG is for you.

The eSIG Committee will facilitate a guided discussion of an LMS selection process and try to capture specific areas that have been learned the hard way through these varied experiences to help define what makes a selection process successful. Whether you need a "starter" LMS or are working on an upgrade, this eSIG program is for you.

During this program, we will pace through the selection process and discuss the pros and cons of the various platforms.  Cloud or installed?  Free / low cost or top of the line?  Come join in the discussion, ask your questions, and share your perspectives.  We’ll even demonstrate a few!


ASTD Competency Model:

The Areas of Expertise, as defined by the ASTD Competency Model, include nine critical factors needed to be a successful workplace learning professional. This month’s eSIG event supports “Designing Learning, Managing the Learning Function, and Measuring and Evaluating.”

Directions from Downtown/Northside:

I-95 south to JTB exit (head East)

JTB east to Southside Blvd exit (head south)

Turn left at first light, which is Deerwood Park Blvd.

Turn right at first light, which is Centurion Pkwy.

Turn left into driveway just after the Lighthouse Learning Center (look for black and gold The Blood Alliance concrete sign)

Turn left immediately into raised parking lot

Walk down hill to TBA's main entrance (looking back to driveway, it's the white building to the left)

 

Directions from Avenues/I-295:

I-295 south to I-95 north

I-95 north to Southside Blvd exit (#340)

Travel past Baymeadows Rd on Southside

Just before getting to JTB, turn right at light onto Deerwood Park Blvd.

Turn right at first light, which is Centurion Pkwy.

Turn left into driveway just after the Lighthouse Learning Center (look for black and gold The Blood Alliance concrete sign)

Turn left immediately into raised parking lot

Walk down hill to TBA's main entrance (looking back to driveway, it's the white building to the left)

 

Directions from Beaches:

Take JTB west to Gate Parkway exit (follow the left fork to S. Gate Parkway)

Turn right at first light, which is Deerwood Park Blvd.

Travel approx 1 mile

Turn left at light for Centurion Pkwy

Turn left into driveway just after the Lighthouse Learning Center (look for black and gold The Blood Alliance concrete sign)

Turn left immediately into raised parking lot

Walk down hill to TBA's main entrance (looking back to driveway, it's the white building to the left)
