About the speaker

Jim Willson has been with Florida Blue/GuideWell for over 19 years and has been in Learning & Development for over 16 of those years. Jim has dedicated the majority of his career to helping others grow; training front-line staff, facilitating leadership development courses and programs, coaching, and even spent a couple months upskilling overseas training departments.

He completed his ATD Master Trainer Program in 2004 and has diligently worked to master his facilitation skills while also working to transfer those skills into the virtual classroom. He is considered a Subject Matter Expert for Adobe Connect and has been facilitating virtually since 2009, using several different platforms along the way. He is best known for his passion for learning and helping others find their “happy place”. Jim has been described by peers as a “passionate champion for his learners.”

Jim was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but traded his cold-weather clothes for the Florida Sunshine in 1997. His greatest love is his family- a wife and three sons. He is an avid tennis player, and loves spending time in or around the ocean.
