What is the CPLP?
The Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) offered by the ASTD Certification Institute offers workplace learning and performance (WLP) professionals an opportunity to enhance credibility and prove value in an increasingly competitive marketplace. The CPLP certification is a two-part assessment that includes a multiple-choice knowledge exam and a work product submission. Individuals with at least three years of industry-related work experience who pass both parts earn the right to use the CPLP designation.

ASTD COMPETENCY MODEL
The Areas of Expertise defined by the ASTD Competency Model include ten critical factors needed to be a successful workplace learning professional. The model emphasizes: (1) Foundational competencies, or those that are important to everyone in the field, and (2) the specific areas of expertise (AOEs), which are the specialized knowledge and actions required by specific roles.
